Do you have family overseas and would like to communicate with them anytime of the day without worrying about long distance costs?  Do you want to send pictures or images to someone without having to use ground mail?  At the end of this Millennium Learning Centres’ free step-by-step hands-on Introduction to email workshop, you will be able to start using your new web based email account and send emails to whoever whenever. 
 

What you will learn 

  • Create an email account using Yahoo.ca
  • Access your new email account 
  • Open and read email messages
  • Write an email message
  • Send email messages
  • Send and open attachments 
  • Delete email messages
  • Understand email virus safety
  • Block unwanted email messages


Before the workshop

You must be familiar with the basics of:

  • Computer operations such as using the mouse and the keyboard
  • Microsoft Windows 
  • Internet and the World Wide Web


Length of workshop

  • Approximately three hours

  • Pre-registration is required for workshops. There is no cost for this workshop.
